The 38th Annual St. George Island charity Chili Cookoff is on Saturday, March 7th is almost here! As you may know, the chili cookoff is not only the primarily fundraiser for the St. George Island Volunteer Firefighters and First Responders (SGIVFD), it is also the largest annual event held on St George Island. Rental Companies report increased capacity. The estimated annual attendance of over 5000 people, this 3-day event is not only important to the survival of the SGIVFD, but an income generating event positively effecting the entire forgotten coast.

The schedule starts with the Golf Tournament on Thursday March 5th at the St James Bay Golf Course, The Art Preview and Silent Tournament on Thursday March 6th starting at 5 PM, the Red Pepper 5K Run on Saturday the 7th at 8 AM. We have a new starting point for 5K Run that starts at the Pine Avenue Fire Department and Ends at Patty’s Raw Bar parking lot. Cookoff gates open at 9 AM, Auction starting at 11 AM, and live music starting at 2:30 PM.
